Job Summary
The Retail Parts Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assures proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functions. Count, weigh or measure items on incoming/outgoing shipments, verify information against invoices and orders; determine method of shipment; maintain receiving/shipping records and ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications. Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to rectify issues. Must operate heavy machinery (forklift, pallet jack). Emphasizes accurate recordkeeping, inventory management, and strong communication. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs
- Ability to use parts department computer system
- Good communication skills
- Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
