Job Summary
Lead the Parts and Service department by providing leadership, coaching, and performance management for personnel while overseeing daily operations including shop workflow, scheduling, work order management, and inventory control. Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying service opportunities, partnering with Sales to develop new business, and managing departmental financial performance through budgeting and profitability tracking. Ensure timely warranty claim processing, implement standard operating procedures, and maintain productive relationships with equipment manufacturers and vendors. Foster a safe, compliant work environment and deliver exceptional support to internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment, or a related field
- Previous leadership or management experience, preferably within the heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, truck, or industrial service industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment diagnostics and hydraulic systems
- Experience reading hydraulic schematics
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, inventory, profitability, and operational performance
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized business systems
