Parts Runner Truck Driver (CDL Class A)

Job Summary
Check shipments for proper securing, maneuver equipment in tight areas, and drop or spot trailers while backing trucks in and out of docks and job sites. Inspect vehicles for defects before and after trips to maintain roadworthy condition, contact the Transportation Manager for maintenance approvals, and review permits, inspections, and registrations to refuse transport if they are incorrect or expired. Maintain all DOT logs, medical requirements, and fuel card usage while adhering to Comfort Systems USA policies. Requires a CDL Class A license, two years of driving experience, and flexible hours to accommodate pickup and delivery times.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A License
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
- at least 2-years driving experience
- Must pass a road test given by a current EAS driver
- Subject to Motor Vehicle Report to meet the EAS Driver Policy standards
- minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to maneuver equipment in tight areas
- Must be able to back trucks and trailers in and out of docks, shipping and receiving areas and on job sites
- Must have flexible hours to accommodate pickup and/or delivery times
- Must be able to inspect trucks and trailers for defects before and after trips
- Must maintain all logs as required by Department of Transportation and Environmental Air Systems
- Must maintain all license requirements and medical requirements as set by the Division of Transportation
- Must be able to refuse to transport loads in the event any permits or registrations are incorrect, incomplete or out of date
