Job Summary
Manage daily parts department operations, overseeing ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of automotive parts and tires to support service and retail needs. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits to minimize shrinkage while forecasting demand with the service team to ensure optimal stock levels. Lead and train parts counter staff, fostering a customer-focused environment, and develop strong vendor relationships to negotiate pricing and secure timely deliveries. Implement processes that improve parts availability, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive service center environment
- Familiarity with automotive maintenance procedures and service workflows
- Certification in automotive parts management or related professional credentials
- Proficiency with industry-specific software such as Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships
