Job Summary
Hire, train, and monitor performance of all parts department staff while analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals. Supervise stock order procedures, process daily orders, and verify accurate receipting. Forecast department goals, maintain inventory levels and mix by dollar amount and day's supply, and work with vendors to manage commodity mix. Communicate daily with the service department for special order parts and administer payroll. Enforce OSHA requirements, conduct performance evaluations, and participate in operational planning. Maintain facility and equipment, hold weekly department and manager meetings, and manage obsolescence levels per company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
- Two to four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and inventory management skills
- Knowledge of dealership parts operations and inventory control best practices
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Operating equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts
