Job Summary
Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff while analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals. Supervise stock order procedures, forecast department goals, and maintain inventory levels and mix according to company metrics. Process daily stock orders, verify accurate receipting, and work with vendors to manage commodity mix for tires and batteries. Communicate daily with the service department for special order parts, administer payroll, and enforce OSHA requirements. Conduct performance evaluations, participate in operational planning, and maintain facility equipment. Maintain inventory obsolescence levels and attend weekly department and manager meetings. Operate in a warehouse environment lifting up to 50 pounds and using hand trucks or forklifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
- Two to four years' related experience and/or training
- Strong leadership, organizational, and inventory management skills
- Knowledge of dealership parts operations and inventory control best practices
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to operate equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts
