Job Summary
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership, coordinating with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving. Verifies that invoices match purchase orders for each pick-up and checks payments received against invoices for each delivery. Maintains an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, requesting recipient signatures on each entry. Unloads the truck nightly, turns in paperwork and undelivered parts, and handles basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and required inspections. Advises the parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Background screening
- Safety shoes
