Job Summary
Parts Department Clerk needed to identify, order, source, and receive parts; assist with inventory control; support department profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include taking and processing orders for spare parts and preparing them for shipment; providing quotes and drawings for spare parts and equipment projects; researching part information using project folders, archived data, and blueprints; coordinating with Service, Engineering, Repairs, and Test Lab; expediting shipments with Purchasing and Production; processing documentation to initiate additional activities; coordinating with freight carriers (UPS, Federal Express) to track shipments and handle proof of delivery or claims; maintaining inventory levels; pricing parts; supporting merchandising and displays; ensuring compliance with safety rules and company policies; assisting with annual physical inventory; maintaining organized work area and participating in required training; following safeguards and equal employment opportunities statements. Qualifications emphasize reliability, communication, manufacturing experience, Sage X3 familiarity, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone manner
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
- At least 3 years? experience in the Parts Dept.
- Sage X3 experience is a plus
- Ability to work as a team player
- Attentive to detail and organized
