Parts-Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors while coordinating last-minute pickups with the parts manager or shipping clerk. Verify payments against invoices, maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries with recipient signatures, and load vehicles with appropriate parts. Handle basic truck maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and required inspections, advising the manager of any major repairs needed. Assist with stock orders upon arrival to expedite delivery and help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, and ability to read safety rules and interpret documents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Valid Driver's License
