Job Summary
The Parts Delivery Driver delivers parts to customers and picks up parts from suppliers for the dealership. Responsibilities include delivering and picking up parts to/from customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors; coordinating last-minute pickups with the parts manager or shipping/receiving clerk; verifying payments against invoices; maintaining daily delivery/pick-up logs and obtaining recipient signatures; loading parts for deliveries; basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle (fuel, oil, cleanliness, inspections); advising the parts manager of major repairs; maintaining professional appearance of the parts department; assisting with stock orders to expedite delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Valid Driver's License
