Parts-Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. Coordinate last-minute pickups and deliveries with the parts manager or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving. Verify payments against invoices, request recipient signatures, and maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Load vehicles with appropriate parts, handle basic maintenance including fuel, oil checks, and inspections, and advise the manager if major repairs are needed. Assist with stock orders to expedite delivery and maintain a professional appearance throughout the parts department. Valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
