Job Summary
Parts Counter Person handles the parts sales process from start to finish, assists the parts manager in locating parts not in stock, processes special order part requests, and communicates with customers and staff in a friendly, professional manner. Requires basic computer and mathematical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of automobiles; prior Ford dealership experience is a plus. This position emphasizes customer service, inventory awareness, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year in parts department
- Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures
