Parts Counterperson

Job Summary
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, including selling parts and taking inventory of stock in storage or on shelves. Work with the parts manager to locate unavailable parts and complete special order requests while communicating parts status to customers. Maintain friendly and professional interactions with staff and clients, strictly adhering to company safety policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports the Ford dealership's commitment to honoring the past and investing in the future. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and at least one year of service department experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
