Parts Counterperson

Job Summary
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish by communicating with customers on parts status, reading catalogs to look up items, and reviewing estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing. Pull and fill orders from stock, maintain weekly bin checks for accuracy, and notify the manager of out-of-stock parts to submit emergency orders. Handle phone calls for price quotes, receive payment or obtain credit authorization, and set up orders for daily shipment or pick-up. Ensure all internal requests are billed correctly on service repair orders. Requires a high school diploma, auto parts sales experience preferred, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test
