Job Summary
Parts Counter Person responsible for customer service and retail parts sales at a Ford dealership. Responsibilities include overseeing the parts sales process from start to finish, working with the parts manager to locate parts not in stock, completing special order part requests, and communicating with customers on parts status and with staff in a friendly, professional manner. Must follow all safety policies and procedures and comply with applicable regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with auto parts sales and knowledge of automobiles preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and learn new technology and repair procedures. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, professional appearance and strong work ethic
