Parts Counterperson

Job Summary
Over-the-counter parts sales to customers, provide necessary parts to the service department and body shop, and place special orders. Responsibilities include assisting customers in selecting and purchasing parts, reading manuals to identify part specifications, providing pricing and product information, dispensing parts to service and body shop, ordering out-of-stock parts, assisting with inventory, maintaining CSI at dealership standards, and upholding the dealership core values. The role requires regular attendance, adherence to safety rules, and flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Knowledge of automotive parts, basic computer skills, and effective communication with customers and colleagues are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of automotive parts
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Intermediate ability and knowledge of the Parts portion of the Dealership Management System
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Understand and follow instructions
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings
- Accurate timekeeping
- Team-oriented and customer-focused demeanor
