Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers at the counter and over the phone, delivering timely, accurate, and professional service. Identify correct parts using electronic catalogs and business systems, ensuring accuracy, and minimize errors or returns. Provide pricing, availability, and sourcing options, including in-stock, inter-branch, and emergency orders. Drive parts sales by proactively recommending related items, alternatives, and solutions to meet customer needs. Process invoices and collect payment accurately and efficiently. Manage returns, cores, and warranty claims in accordance with company and vendor requirements, ensuring proper documentation and recovery of credits. Maintain organized and accurate inventory through proper binning, stocking, and housekeeping standards. Support parts inventory control by identifying discrepancies, shortages, and slow-moving or obsolete parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready counter and retail display area. Participate in ongoing training to build product knowledge and stay current on supplier offerings. Support promotional efforts and customer outreach to drive parts sales and customer retention. Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner at all times.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of customer-facing sales experience, preferably in a dealership or heavy-duty parts environment
- Experience with dealership management systems (Karmak, CDK, Procede)
- Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and components
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
