Parts Counterman Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Lead and assist in daily operations of the Parts Department; oversee Parts Counter staff to ensure excellent customer service and productivity; manage the parts sales process from start to finish for retail and wholesale customers; collaborate with the Parts Manager to maintain inventory levels and source unavailable parts; process and track special order requests accurately and efficiently; communicate with customers regarding order status, availability, and delivery timelines; maintain strong relationships with service technicians, vendors, and customers; ensure department organization, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards; follow all safety policies and procedures; understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the automotive industry.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous automotive parts experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills
- Experience with dealership management systems is a plus
