Parts Counter Salesperson

Job Summary
Sell parts to customers over the counter and provide parts to the service department. Provide excellent customer service while supplying customers with timely and accurate information regarding accounts, products, rates, and services offered. Responsibilities include helping customers at the counter and on the phone, maintaining a professional relationship with peers and management, meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals, staying informed about the corporate parts promotion schedule, recommending additional related parts or accessories, enforcing and participating in efficient Parts Department processes, processing orders accurately, locating and obtaining merchandise (and communicating with the Parts Inventory Team as needed), maintaining inventory integrity through cycle counts and resolving discrepancies, contributing to a professional showroom image and organized displays, keeping the parts department clean, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager. Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in Agriculture preferred), 1+ years of parts or related sales experience, customer relationship skills, understanding of the selling process, ability to handle multiple projects, strong communication, and ability to work extended hours, weekends, and forklift operation. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Associate’s degree in Agriculture preferred
- 1+ years of Parts experience or equivalent sales or service experience
- Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport
- Demonstrate basic understanding of the selling process
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
- Experience working both independently and, in a team, setting
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Valid driver’s license required; driving record that meets Employer’s insurance company requirements
- Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, internet applications, and apps
- Ability to use a handheld barcode scanner
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- This position will require operation of a forklift
