Job Summary
Parts Counter Sales Representative at Ascendance Truck Centers. The role primarily sells truck parts over the counter, to shop personnel, or via phone, assisting customers with part selection, informing of companion parts and specials, quoting prices, processing orders, and ensuring accurate pricing and ordering. Responsibility includes coordinating with body shop and service staff, managing back-ordered and special-ordered parts, handling inventory replenishment, assisting outside sales reps, handling payments and invoicing, maintaining orderly records, and supporting training and professional development. Requires strong customer-service orientation, basic math and reading skills, ability to interpret documents, and effective communication; ASE or Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist certifications are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
