Job Summary
Conduct parts lookup, provide accurate quotes, and process invoices, returns, and warranty claims for retail customers, technicians, and wholesale clients. Ensure timely delivery of parts while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean workspace. Collaborate with team members to improve service quality, stay updated on product knowledge, and deliver excellent customer service consistently. Maintain a valid driver's license and possess strong communication skills, with the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs. Prior automotive parts retail experience and familiarity with manufacturer parts catalogs or dealership management systems are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prior customer service experience
- Valid driver's license meeting insurability requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or automotive/vocational training
- Experience with parts lookup, inventory systems, or retail sales
- Previous automotive parts counter, dealership, or auto parts retail experience
- Experience with manufacturer parts catalogs and dealership management systems (DMS)
- Manufacturer or ASE Parts Specialist Certification
- Forklift/material-handling experience
- Upselling skills
- Familiarity with automotive parts catalogs and inventory management systems
