Job Summary
The Parts Counter Person services internal workshop and external customers by phone or in person, assisting customers in selecting required parts, providing price quotes, locating and back-ordering parts, pulling and filling stock, notifying parts manager of out-of-stock items, handling special orders, and pursuing additional parts sales through outbound calls; maintains accurate records in the DMS and supports delivery/pick-up setup, with emphasis on friendly, professional service and the ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education of High School Diploma/GED is required
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience & excellent phone etiquette skill are essential
- Must be neat in appearance, punctual, and a team player
- Ability to proficiently navigate through websites and look up parts
- Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance and move throughout warehouse to obtain parts
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities and be responsive and flexible to best serve the issue at hand
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- DMS system experience highly preferred (Procede/Excede)
- Proficiency with Online Parts Catalog & Ecommerce
- Knowledge of dealer and fleet maintenance procedures and systems
- Working knowledge of International and supplier/vendor warranty policies
