Job Summary
Parts Counter Sales representative assists customers, service technicians, and wholesale accounts in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts and accessories. Uses electronic catalog systems to verify availability and pricing, processes parts orders, invoices, and returns in the dealership management system, maintains stock levels and displays, coordinates with the service department for timely parts delivery, and supports quotes and relationship management for wholesale and fleet accounts. Handles warranty parts processing and returns per manufacturer requirements, stays informed on new products and manufacturer updates, and maintains a clean, organized work area. Requires 2+ years of automotive parts experience, strong product knowledge, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proficiency with dealership management and parts catalog systems (Dealertrack, CDK, or similar) and a valid driver’s license are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive parts experience preferred
- dealership or Ford parts experience a plus
- Strong working knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Experience with dealership management and parts catalog systems (Dealertrack, CDK, or similar)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactions
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
