Job Summary
Facilitate parts orders from internal and external customers by managing inbound and outbound communications with timely follow-up. Greet customers as they enter the branch and promptly answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner. Process parts orders from all methods of communication and maintain accurate records of customer transactions in the computer system. Follow up on vendor back orders, process vendor invoices, and ensure credit is received for part returns. Maintain a good understanding of all product lines, including reading parts manuals and serial number breaks. Provide occasional assistance with parts deliveries and ensure consistent on-site attendance. Maintain a clean and presentable workspace by keeping up with general housekeeping daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of parts experience, preferably in the heavy equipment or related industry
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess basic knowledge and understanding of construction equipment and operating systems, such as hydraulic and electrical systems
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Physical ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
