Parts Counter Representative

Job Summary
Handle internal and external customer requests for parts purchases; assist customers with inquiries and parts sales in person, by phone, in person and electronically; research customer requests to determine correct parts; generate invoices for in-stock parts or create purchase orders when not in stock; provide quotes for parts requested and transfer/post approved parts to work orders; monitor invoices, will-call pick tickets, and quotes for compliance; assist with inventory control and core returns; maintain retail area, restock shelves, price items, organize and keep bins labeled; deliver parts to customers as needed; assist with annual parts inventory counts; coordinate with Service Department to ensure timely availability of parts for internal jobs; collaborate with inside and outside sales teams to provide effective solutions; complete all required job-related training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years heavy duty truck parts experience
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to operate warehouse forklift and complete formal training program
- Knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills, and parts for heavy and medium duty diesel trucks
- Excellent organization and communication skills
