Job Summary
Sells a wide variety of parts to phone and walk-in customers, verifies correct part numbers for the specific model and serial number, determines if enough parts are ordered and suggests related or additional parts, identifies sales opportunities for changeover groups and attachments, participates in all parts sales programs, enters orders quickly and accurately per Credit procedures, informs customers about stock/backorder status and delivery estimates, follows up to ensure timely service, keeps informed on manufacturers’ parts bulletins, completes training, may provide after-hours customer service, and contributes to a collaborative team effort.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year hands-on parts experience in construction earthmoving machine parts, on-highway engine and truck parts, commercial generator engine parts, or automotive parts
- Valid CA Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work with customers and employees in a courteous and professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred
