Job Summary
Research and provide customers with correct part information by inspecting worn, damaged, or defective parts to determine needs. Successfully provide solutions to customers' parts needs by selling to fax-in, email-in, call-in, and walk-in clients. Advise customers of additional related parts and services, including discussing features and benefits of alternative solutions like remanufacturing. Maintain communication with customers on open orders and solicit incremental business while promoting a one-stop-shop approach. Represent the company in a positive, courteous manner and communicate leads to Sales Reps and the Service Department. Ensure customer satisfaction and follow established procedures for accurate payment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of parts counter experience OR related mechanical/technical experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computer applications and software systems
- Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment
- Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Hand coordination (typing and writing)
- Occasional forward bending and reaching
- Occasional walking and climbing stairs
- Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck, diesel, construction, or equipment parts a plus
