Parts Coordinator / Buyer

Job Summary
Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and vendors to locate difficult parts, negotiate deals, and quote accurately into the management system. Track lost sales and assist other parts coordinators when necessary. Work with internal customers in a professional, courteous manner while becoming familiar with client vehicle assignments. This full-time role requires M–F hours from 7:00–4:00 PM EST and offers competitive hourly pay of $25–$28. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a highly competitive market
- Knowledge of light/medium duty parts/vehicles
- Exceptional phone skills: positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone to help the internal customers feel comfortable during the conversation, clear enunciation, exceptional listening skills
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships
- Results focused, producer, closer, committed to growth
- Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives
- Position requires an individual with an outgoing and assertive personality to take initiative, be pro-active, be very positive, and have a 'can-do attitude.'
Desired Qualifications
- prior success selling wholesale auto parts particularly in aftermarket industry preferred
- ASE certifications in P1 and P2 preferred
- Experience with POS system a plus
- Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically MS Word and Excel preferred
