Job Summary
Manage boat, motor, trailer, and ATV parts inventory while assisting customers with purchases, price quotes, and inquiries via phone or the parts counter. Research customer needs using online resources, manufacturer contacts, or on-site materials, then perform sales transactions and safeguard funds through daily till reconciliation. Create purchase orders for stock and customer requirements, verify shipping documents against received merchandise, and enter all data into the IDS inventory tracking system. Issue parts to technicians based on work orders, process refunds for returned items, and conduct scheduled physical inventories to report and reconcile any variances. Maintain a clean work area and ensure accurate tracking of all inventory movements.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts or percentages and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Good phone etiquette
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computer and perform data entry functions
- Marine knowledge helpful
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for extended periods
