Job Summary
Parts Department Back Counter Person position in Madison, AL responsible for providing parts and accessories to service technicians and the service department, delivering excellent customer service, issuing parts to repair orders, providing price quotes, placing customer orders, handling warranty parts, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining a clean, orderly parts area. Requires strong customer service and communication skills, knowledge of truck parts and heavy-duty systems, ability to interpret customer needs, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; includes compensation of $17-$26/hour plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Three years or more OEM dealer experience with heavy-duty trucks and parts
- Demonstrated knowledge of truck engines, transmissions and rear axles
- Knowledge of after-market vendors
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment and mechanical parts
- Required language proficiency to effectively communicate with customers
- Ability to interpret customer needs
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, pass post-offer drug test and physical
