Job Summary
Assist walk-in customers with parts purchases, answer phone calls to take orders, and pull stocked or special-order parts while recommending related accessories. Manage inventory by tracking stock, restocking shipments, and updating control systems to ensure accuracy. Place parts orders with close attention to detail, document special requests, and notify the service department when back-ordered items arrive. Complete sales by entering transactions into the system and follow up on order status with customers. Work with the Parts Manager to locate specialty items and maintain individual customer satisfaction while handling multiple inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in parts or service, preferably in construction equipment or automotive/truck industry
- Communicate effectively via phone with customers, required
- Communicate effectively with technicians and customers to understand their needs and meet their requests
- Strong data entry and telephone skills
- Strong customer service skills and abilities
- A strong work ethic including being punctual and dependable
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing, bending, reaching, crouching, etc
- Satisfactory results of a criminal background screening
- Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm schedule
- Work Location: Bobcat of Boston, 20 Concord Street, North Reading, MA
