Job Summary
Supply parts to technicians from inventory and handle inquiries regarding replacement parts and availability. Order or pull parts as needed, manage daily stock orders, and maintain order and safety within the department. Make hydraulic hoses, process purchase orders, invoices, and returns, and assist branches in locating necessary parts. Operate a forklift and drive a pickup truck while following company policies and safety compliance. Work the day shift, Monday through Friday, with store hours from 7:00a to 5:00p and a 30-minute lunch break.
Required Qualifications
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office for email and Internet for product searching and data entry
- Office Equipment Knowledge: Basic understanding of office machines, including copier, fax, and printer
- Customer Service Passion: A strong passion for parts, assisting customers, and doing a good job is a must
- Communication Skills: Excellent face-to-face and phone communication skills
- Listening and Handwriting: Good listening skills and legible handwriting
- Task Management: Ability to prioritize and organize tasks with a sense of urgency and within time constraints
- Direction and Inquiry: Able to take direction and ask questions
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail
- Software Learning: Willingness to learn Dealworks, EQUIP, and Service Advisor (training available)
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate a forklift and drive a pickup truck
- Driving Requirements: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per company policy
- Work Ethic: Willing to work hard, enjoy the atmosphere, and do whatever it takes for the company and customers
- Focus: Must limit time on personal cell phone; focus on the job and the customer
- Availability: Available to work extended hours during the week and weekends on a rotation or when needed (as required by location)
- Lifting: Ability to lift, manipulate, and move items repeatedly, up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Construction Parts Experience: Previous experience in construction parts is a plus
