Job Summary
Sells automotive parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, or by phone. Assists customers in selecting required parts, informs about companion part requirements and specials, and ensures exposure to the full product line. Responds to inquiries with price quotes, reviews body shop estimates to verify parts align with the estimate, and provides high-level service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include pulling and filling orders from stock, notifying management of out-of-stock items, sourcing parts from outside suppliers when needed, coordinating delivery or pickup, and handling returns and invoicing. Maintains inventory records, participates in training, and stays current on product updates. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), basic computer skills, ability to read and write simple correspondence, and strong customer-service orientation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence using proper grammar
