Job Summary
Director of Partnerships for Government Solutions (Asia Pacific) leads strategic, commercial partnerships for Visa Government Solutions with government technology providers, sector-focused capabilities, and humanitarian/development organizations. Based in Singapore, the role drives partnership sales strategy and pipeline in Asia Pacific, establishes and deepens ecosystem partnerships, identifies public sector use cases, supports RFP development, structures strategic partnerships, develops account plans to increase sales and market share, and collaborates with internal teams to articulate compelling value propositions positioning VGS as a leader in government payments. Requires deep payments expertise, 12+ years’ experience with ecosystem partners, Govtech experience preferred, and strong collaboration, negotiation, and executive communication skills. This is a hybrid, Singapore-based role with expected in-office days to be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years’ experience in payments ecosystem partnerships
- Govtech experience preferred
- Proven success driving revenue through partnerships
- Consultative sales and negotiation skills
- Strong partner-management and problem-solving abilities
- Strategic, analytical thinker with entrepreneurial drive
- Experience with public sector sales and government procurement
- Cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration experience
- Executive communication skills (written, oral, presentation)
- Fluent English; additional Asian language a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Deep payments expertise and 12+ years’ experience working with ecosystem partners
- Experience working in Govtech preferred
- Track record and proven ability to drive commercial outcomes, close revenue generating deals and grow a business through strategic partnerships
- Solutions focused, with the ability to articulate value propositions across a broad portfolio of solutions
- Consultative sales experience and skillful at developing, negotiating, influencing and selling new partnership synergies
- Proficiency in managing partner relationships, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with hands-on entrepreneurial ability and comfort with ambiguity
- Understanding of public sector sales and government procurement processes
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management and influencing skills for cross-functional teams
- Executive communication skills (written, oral & presentation)
- Fluent English; additional Asian language a plus
- Active network of ecosystem partners and public sector stakeholders across Asia
- Prior sales and consulting experience servicing government clients and projects
- Knowledge of Visa solutions relevant to ecosystem mentioned
- Ability to lead discussions with ecosystem partners and articulate complex concepts to broad audiences
