Job Summary
Partnership Advisor on the National Partnerships team contributes to partnership development and management, public outreach, cross-systems collaboration, and advancement of child welfare practice and state policy reform. Responsibilities include identifying strategic partnership opportunities, providing consultation to partners, negotiating and managing key relationships, monitoring and analyzing policy issues, drafting documents and talking points, leading quality improvement efforts, coordinating with Casey teams and external organizations, and traveling up to 40%. Requires a Master’s Degree (preferably in Social Work or Public Policy) and at least 7 years of experience in social work, court work, or public policy related to child welfare, plus experience in program development/evaluation and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree required; preferably in Social Work or Public Policy-related areas including Public Administration, Law or other closely related field required
- at least 7 years progressive experience in social work, court work or public policy work focused on child welfare
- at least 7 years’ experience in program development, and evaluation, and/or lived expertise in consultation
- Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
- Experience consulting on policy, child welfare practice, working with judiciary and legislature, and/or managing partnerships and community relations
- Knowledge of public child welfare policy, practices and state and local governments
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- High-level problem-solving and analytical ability
- Ability to work in a fast-changing environment with limited supervision and deadlines
- Proven track record in leading collaborations and providing consultation to leverage collaborations
- National travel up to 40% required
- Ability to handle confidentiality and apply policies/protocols
