Job Summary
Partner role at a 50-person law firm focusing on healthcare regulatory and healthcare transactions; acts as outside general counsel to healthcare clients, advising on regulatory compliance, transactions, licensure/ accreditation, reimbursement, and contract negotiations, with emphasis on client development and strategic counsel. Responsibilities include advising on HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, mergers/acquisitions, joint ventures, practice consolidations, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, drafting/negotiating complex contracts, representing clients in regulatory proceedings, monitoring healthcare law changes, and growing the firm’s healthcare practice.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Bar admission in applicable jurisdiction or waivable
- 8-10 years healthcare regulatory or healthcare transactions law experience
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, licensing requirements, corporate practice of medicine laws
- Experience leading complex healthcare transactions from due diligence through closing
- Strong business acumen and client relationship management and business development skills
