Partner - General Liability - Insurance Defense

Job Summary
Advise clients on business transactions, claim liability, and the advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Independently manage cases from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial prep. Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during trials. Analyze laws and regulations to interpret probable case outcomes. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, present cases to judges and juries, and gather evidence to formulate defense strategies. Conduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Manage deadlines and assignments with high ownership. Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours. Requires 10+ years' experience in general liability/insurance defense and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
