Job Summary
Safely operate, monitor, and adjust assigned particleboard production equipment while performing machine startups, shutdowns, setups, and product changeovers. Monitor production processes and parameters to ensure quality and efficiency, conducting required product quality checks and identifying nonconforming material. Troubleshoot basic equipment issues, escalate concerns as needed, and ensure production areas are supplied with correct materials per schedule. Complete production, quality, downtime, and material documentation while maintaining clean work areas per 5S standards. Follow all safety standards, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout guidelines, and stop work when unsafe conditions are present. Collaborate with team members, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to optimize workflow and support continuous improvement efforts. Operates on a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 shift schedule alternating between day and night, with a starting pay of $21/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mechanical, computer, and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and follow production orders, specifications, and work instructions
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Basic critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment or production issues while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in elevated areas as required
- Ability to tolerate indoor and outdoor environments and extreme temperatures
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment around machinery, mobile equipment, loud noise, and wood dust
Desired Qualifications
