Job Summary
PHP therapist provides in-person, group-focused therapeutic services for youth and families within a Partial Hospital Program. Responsibilities include facilitating group, individual, family, and conjoint therapies, completing intake and risk assessments, maintaining a caseload of 4-5 clients, ensuring timely documentation per SDCC and regulatory requirements, mentoring trainees, obtaining and displaying required licensure, and coordinating discharge plans. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ongoing treatment planning, and contributing to a therapeutic milieu. In addition to direct clinical work, the position involves crisis triage when needed and adherence to professional standards across documentation and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited university
- Must have a registration number issued by the State of California oversight board for that license: ASW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC, PhD or PsyD or provide proof of submission of a completed application within the BBS 90-day rule
- Must be willing to work in person for the PHP hours approximately 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
- Experience working with youth and families
- Must be able to demonstrate skill in writing clinical notes, assessments, and clinical formulation
