Job Summary
Directly supervise adolescent boys in a short-term transitional living program, cultivating a safe, healthy, therapeutic environment while maintaining constant sight and sound supervision. Ensure physical safety, provide crisis intervention, and follow established routines including wake-up and bedtime schedules. Record daily observations, monitor healthcare needs, and ensure medication compliance. Accompany youths to appointments, facilitate individualized care plans, and utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy coaching. Transport adolescents to facilities, meetings, and recreation trips. Maintain organized, clean living spaces and supervise mealtimes. Advocate for youth and share updates with parents/guardians. Work Thursday-Saturday 9am-1pm for 12 hours weekly at $23.27 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6-months of experience working with at-risk or court-involved adolescents
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues
