Job Summary
Maintain safety, security, and supervision of youth in the Juvenile Leadership Academy by enforcing program rules, promoting positive behavior, and supervising daily activities. Respond to emergencies, document resident behavior, and serve as a positive role model while supporting the rehabilitation and personal development of youth. This role requires direct supervision in a secure residential setting for male applicants aged 21 or older with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and be eligible for Juvenile Supervision Officer certification, including CPR, First Aid, and Handle With Care training. Applicants must be available for various shifts including nights and weekends. Salary is $20.89 per hour, up to 29 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Eligible to certified as a Juvenile Supervision Officer, which requires completion of CPR, First Aid, and Handle With Care Certification
- Must be a Male applicant
- No felony conviction against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years
- No deferred adjudication for a felony against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years or current felony probation or parole
- No jailable misdemeanor conviction against the laws of this state, another state or the United States within the past 5 years
- No deferred adjudication for a jailable misdemeanor against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 5 years or current misdemeanor probation or parole
- Not registered as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure
Desired Qualifications
- One year of Residential Supervision experience (preferred)
