Part Time Youth Mentor

Job Summary
Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development within our after school setting. Guide kids toward their full potential through daily ministry and role modeling while adhering to our Statement of Faith. This part-time, non-exempt role averages 17-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year. Candidates must be at least 17, possess a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid driver's license. Mandatory CPR/First Aid certification, a background check, and Spanish-speaking ability are highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver's license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
