Part Time - Youth Care Specialist - Night Shift (Friday and Saturday, 11pm - 7am)

Job Summary
Supervise and interact with residents at all times while documenting concerns and communicating feedback to Case Managers and Team Leaders. Promote health development, behavior management, and individual success by engaging residents in daily activities and building positive relationships that support their goals. Transport residents to community activities and medical appointments as assigned, adhering to shelter policies and federal/state guidelines. Maintain appropriate boundaries with peers, staff, and volunteers while demonstrating cultural competency and diversity. Attend required trainings on child and adolescent development, participate in meetings, and perform cleaning duties as directed. Work night shifts from 11pm to 7am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Twenty-one years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Physical stamina and agility
- Physical ability to use authorized techniques for management of aggressive behaviors
- Must pass all criminal history, child maltreatment and background checks
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of personal automobile insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children in crisis
- Experience exercising Trust Based Relational Intervention and Conscious Discipline
- Relevant college courses or college degree (e.g., Education, Social Work, Human Services, etc)
