Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment while ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines. Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, completing studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care. Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, and equipment operation. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and maintain infection control and sterile techniques. Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures, and follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and equipment failure reporting. Maintain ARRT certification and state licensure, with a preference for 1-2 years of radiology experience and IV certification. Work part-time at Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in St George, Utah, with a weekly schedule of 20 hours.
