Job Summary
Wound Care Nurse Practitioners are needed to provide wound care services for patients in long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, following up on treatments and diagnostic testing, and collaborating with primary care physicians and nursing home staff. Candidates must possess an unrestricted NP license in Kentucky and board certification, with a strong background in wound care, and experience in long-term care settings preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Kentucky
- Board Certification
- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties
- Clinical background of wound care
- Experience working in a long-term care setting
- Comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds
- Familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products
- Experience with wound vacs and other DME
- Ability to work with an EMR
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team

- Wound certification or open to obtaining certification
