Part Time Weekend Pharmacist

Job Summary
Dispense drugs, chemicals, and pharmaceutical preparations while filling, labeling, and inspecting all supplies across hospital services. Maintain perpetual inventory for narcotics, manage antidote stocks, and charge medications to patients. Provide medication information to physicians, nurses, and interns, and participate in teaching programs for students and house staff. Assist the Director of Pharmacy in administrative activities, committee work, and preparing periodic departmental reports. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with State and Federal regulations. Coordinate pharmacy activities with ancillary departments and implement decisions from the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Pharmacy School
- Licensed to practice in pharmacy in the state where the pharmacy is located
- Knowledge to provide oversight of medication regimens for the patient populations treated in the facility
- Knowledge of dosing for specific age populations
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of hospital experience
