Job Summary
Review menus and prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards while implementing dietitian recommendations. Process diet changes from Nursing Services, prepare therapeutic diets and bedtime snacks, and serve substitute foods for residents who refuse meals. Assist in establishing the food service production line, maintain stock levels, and ensure proper portion control and utensil availability. Perform assigned cleaning duties, assist in special meal preparations, and participate in life safety drills and emergency plans. Maintain clean food storage areas, conduct regular inspections for sanitation, and report noncompliance, injuries, or resident abuse allegations immediately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit
- Must be 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
