Job Summary
In-Home, Associate Veterinarian position with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in Daytona Beach, FL (and surrounding areas), offering mobile hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families. Practice medicine with purpose in a flexible model that supports work-life balance, including 2–5 day-per-week options, and a schedule of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day. You’ll join a community of veterinarians and support professionals with ongoing mentorship, onboarding and 24/7/365 support, while delivering compassionate, family-centered veterinary care outside of traditional clinics. Compensation includes base salary with bonuses for full-time 4- and 5-day schedules (starting at $85,000 and $100,000 respectively) and prorated compensation for part-time opportunities; roles may vary by schedule. The position emphasizes independent practice within Lap of Love’s collaborative culture, enabling flexible living while maintaining professional fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- State veterinary license or eligibility to practice in Florida or New Jersey
- Ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets
- Strong communication with pet families
- Comfort with variable schedules and part-time opportunities
- Experience in compassionate, patient- and family-centered care
- Ability to work independently within a supportive team
- Proficiency in clinical decision-making and patient assessment
