Job Summary
Sort donated textiles by season, color, and quality; inspect items for saleable condition and price them according to Goodwill standards. Hang, size, tag, and load textiles onto Z-racks while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Occasionally answer product questions for customers and cross-train in other departments as needed. This role requires frequent lifting and standing in a production environment with a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required
- Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed with occasional overtime
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers
- Must have attention to detail and ability to make decisions
- Ability to use basic technologies to be able to follow company standards
- Ability to use good judgement to assess quality and value of textile product and pricing, researching value, as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year of retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of clothing brands and quality is a plus
