Job Summary
Greet customers entering the branch and guide them to appropriate support while performing a variety of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and cash handling. Provide information on banking products suited to individual needs and ensure high accuracy in all financial operations. Engage in constant customer support in person and via telephone, making decisions alongside immediate supervisors as experience grows. Complete Rockland Trust's Teller Training and perform any other duties assigned by management. Work within a flexible week that may include weekends based on customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
- Sales and service-oriented personality.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
